hay all,

Well I'm in a bit of a bind, having to do a massive project about Spain and catalonia under the franco dictatoorship which counts rather heavily towards my degree. But the problem is that access to texts is extremely limited and evening looking online yields little material that is accessible. SO if anyone knows of some good sources for texxts of a historical or academic nature about this could they please get in touch? I'll owe them big lol. I don't care what language they are in, in fact Spanish or Catalan texts would be better.

Hi MJ,

I don't know if this is in any way helpful, but maybe you could look at newspaper archives? You may have already done this, but if ou google 'El Pais', you can go onto their website and search the archives - I found some good stuff for my essay there.

Also, does your college have access to online journals like 'premier academic'? If not I'm pretty sure you can regester as an individual and get articles. The only thing is they're in PDF format, so you may have to get someone to help you with that.

I have a book which I used last year called 'The New Spaniards', wich have a few chapters on the Franco regime. If you wanted you could send me your email address privately and I could send it as an attachment.

Another idea is to ask in your college (I'mm guessing this is a college assignment?) if they could provide you with an academic assistant, to help you with find secondary sources.
I hope some of this helps!
